Specimen — Training Record No human name appears here, because no human holds this record. On a real record this line carries the worker's full name as they gave it to us.
C2Course & version
Fall Protection — Worker The exact content version and revision date the worker was taught from prints on this line. We review the course against the OHS Regulation every year, so a record from 2027 and a record from 2030 will not say the same thing — and both will say which one they mean.
C3Delivery method
Online theory + in-person practical competency assessment Both halves, one price. This line is the same on every record we issue, because we do not sell a theory-only version.
C4Theory result
— The final exam score and the date it was passed print here. The pass mark is 80%, with unlimited retakes on a randomized question set — you cannot memorise your way past it.
C5Practical assessment
Assessed in person by a qualified assessor — name appears here on real records This is the field a photograph of a certificate can never prove. It shows whether the hands-on assessment actually happened, and when. If it did not, this line says so.
C6Record number
ATF-SPEC-0001 Every record carries its own number. SPEC marks this one as a specimen; real records are numbered in sequence by course.
C7Issued by
ATF Training Group — Vancouver, British Columbia The training provider that holds the record and answers this page. Built to WorkSafeBC OHS Regulation Part 11 and the OHS Guidelines.
C8Assessor
— The assessor's name and credential print here. We publish the bar an assessor has to clear, and we put their name on the record — so the person checking can see who stood there and signed it.
C9Demonstrations performed
— Each demonstration the worker performed prints on its own line — harness fit, connector checks, anchor selection, pre-use inspection and the rest. Photographs stay in the file, not on this public page; they are evidence for the record, not a gallery.
C10Issue date
— The date the record was issued. This specimen has none, because it was never issued to anyone.
C11Renewal
Recommended renewal: 3 years — industry practice. WorkSafeBC sets no expiry. We print it that way deliberately. Plenty of providers stamp an expiry date on a certificate and imply the regulator set it. The regulator did not. Three years is what the industry does, and we say so in those words.

is — and isn't.

The same disclosure we put on the course page. It belongs on the record too, because this is the page a supervisor actually reads.

Read this with the recordEvery line is checkable
  • WorkSafeBC does not approve or certify fall protection courses. No provider's course is WorkSafeBC-approved — including ours. If you ever see a badge suggesting otherwise, ask which registry it comes from; there isn't one.
  • This is not an Ontario Working at Heights card. Our content is mapped to Ontario's requirements, but that programme has its own approved providers.
  • Online-only courses are not accepted toward the BCCSA NCSO / NHSA designation. Ours is not online-only — it is blended — and how the BCCSA treats a blended course is something we are still confirming with them. Until they tell us in writing, we claim nothing.
  • Under OHS Guideline G11.2(6)-1, no course on its own is enough. Your employer must also give you site-specific instruction before you enter an area with a fall risk. That is why the site-specific instruction record ships with every certificate.
  • Whether any particular site accepts any particular certificate is always the employer's call. What we can do is make the decision easy — a named assessor, the demonstrations performed, the dates, and this page.
